Can you think of anything good to come out of the COVID pandemic? Actually, there are a few things, such as a general “re-centering” of humanity to focus on what’s important, more time with family, the ability to work from home, and of course, quarantine cocktails!
Even as bars and restaurants shut down last year, alcohol consumption rose by 14%, overall, and 44% of Americans began buying alcohol online. In fact, online alcohol purchases were up by 243 percent! While home bartending was on the rise, we embraced a couple of new trends. We invented new cocktails, known as Quarantinis, and for those of us who didn’t feel like mixing our own drinks, we also gave rise to the popularity of ready-to-drink cocktails.
Quarantinis such as the Charmin Quarantini, or the Kumquarantine, with kumquat syrup, are awesome occasionally, but ready-to-drink cocktails are always a good time. This delicious, prepared, twist on classic cocktails can go with you whenever and wherever you want to down your favorite adult beverage. It’s no wonder that ready-to-drink cocktails grew by 43% worldwide just last year because, just like most of us, they’re always ready-to-drink!
