As the reports suggest, outages at the US-based cloud company, Fastly caused the servers of various social media, news and government websites to go down. These high traffic websites include Financial Times, UK Government website, Bloomberg News, New York Times and more. Fastly said that the company was investigating the issue.
In addition, the Amazon website also seemed to not work properly however, the company itself didn’t address the issue. Amazon’s Twitch was also reported to be down by numerous users.
Around 21,000 users reported issues with the social media platform, Reddit. Whereas more than 2,000 users reported troubles with Amazon. These reports were collected on the DownDetector website which monitors the outages.
